According to the latest test ranking by ICC, Travis Head has reached to the career-best second spot after giving an excellent performance in Ashes Series 2023. He is behind Kane Williamson who is still on the top spot. In the same way, Babar Azam has assumed third place in the ranking.

Travis Head has proved himself a run machine in the ongoing Ashes Series with an average of 93.25. He has scored 373 runs in the first three tests against England with two centuries and two half-centuries and he is the leading run-scorer in the series.

Babar Azam from Pakistan is enjoying the form of his life. He has scored 276 runs at an average of 69.33 including one century and two half centuries.

Both players have an opportunity to assume the top spot in ICC Test Ranking. For this, they will have to carry on this sublime form in the upcoming series. Head will try his level best to maintain his performance in the next two matches and Babar will try the same in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

Remember that ICC considers the last 84 innings of a player to analyze his performance and is updated after every test match.

Babar Azam has assumed third place whereas Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne from Australia, and Joe Root from England have lost their positions due to their unconvincing performances in the series. This has made the top spot more interesting and exciting.
