Carlos Alcaraz Has Continued His Winning Momentum

Carlos Alcaraz has continued his winning momentum by defeating Croatian Borna Coric at the Hopman Cup in France.  On the other hand, Spain has been kicked off the tournament as Spanish player Rebeka Masarova has been surprised by Donna Vekic. This gave much confidence to Alcaraz who has been in tremendous touch to continue his winning momentum.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Croatian Borna Coric at the Hopman Cup by 6-3, 6-7, 10-5. This was his second successive victory since Wimbledon’s triumph over Novak Djokovic because he has already won against David Goffin in the first clash at Hopman Cup.

Also, Robeka Masarova had to bite the dust against Donna Vekic by 6-2 and 6-1 earlier in the day. This defeat has ruled out Spain from the tournament. 

Coric still is trying his level best to assume the final spot. Therefore, the tournament is getting more interesting.

After Wimbledon’s victory, the second Grand Slam in his career, Alcaraz took a few days to rest and then composed himself for Hopman Cup.  

Both the players presented a very good performance in the second match. Alcaraz did not lose the chance after securing the first breakpoint.

He initiated a troubling start in the second set and lost his service at the cost of gaining a 2-0 lead. 

Alcaraz tried to level the set and eventually took advantage with a solid service game. On the other hand, Coric saved break points to hold the service.  

Alcaraz lost a match point and his service as well at the important stage of the game and Coric took full advantage to level the match.

After that, both the players moved heaven and earth to get over the line but Carlos Alcaraz has continued his winning momentum by 10-5. He broke the Croatian’s service five times.
