Luca Van Assche’s Successful Hamburg Debut

French player Luca Van Assche started his Hamburg Debut on a winning note on Monday. He laid the foundation of his successful Hamburg Debut by defeating his countryman Alexandre Muller by 7-6, 6-4 to enter the second round. 

He gained 50 percent of the points on his opponent’s first service and gave a double breakdown in the next set. 

 He clinched the victory in almost two hours by winning five consecutive games.

Luca Assche has reached the second round for the sixth time this season and he wants to enter the third round like his successful Hamburg Debut by defeating seventh seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina or Pedro Cachin in the second round. 

 He has secured 521 points and has assumed sixth in the Pepperstone ATP Live Next Gen Race.

 He wants to make his debut at the Next Gen ATP Finals.

On the other hand, Laslo Djere registered his seventh Top 50 win of the season by defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry. 

The Serbian player booked a ticket for the second round against Guido Pella by defeating his opponent in one and a half hours. Brazilian player Thiago Monteiro had to bow down before Guido Pella.   

Danial Altmaier proved himself better by coming out victorious over World No.7 Richard Gasquet. He left Gasquet behind by 2-0 in the Lexus ATP Head 2 Head series. 

Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen started their Hamburg campaign by winning against Constantin Frantzen and Hendrik Jebens. 

Also, the Dutch pair Robin Haase and Nikola Mektic defeated Sebastian Baez and Bernabe Zapata Miralles by 6-4, 6-4.
