J.J. Wolf And Taylor Fritz Will Face Each Other for Atlanta Final Spot

J.J. Wolf and Taylor Fritz will face each other for securing Atlanta’s final spot as the top seed defeated Kei Nishikori, 6-4, 6-2. This is the first time that both players will play against each other in the tournament.

This is the seventh tour-level semifinal of the season and the first win in four combats against Nishikori for Taylor Fritz.

Remember that this was the first ATP event for Nishikori since 2021 after his return from left hip surgery.

It is confirmed that an American will play in the Final for the Atlanta Open Crown because J.J. Wolf and Taylor Fritz will face each other for qualifying for the Final.

On the other hand, J.J. Wolf reached the semifinal after defeating Dominik Koepfer, 6-2, 6-3. He showed outstanding performance against his opponent by taking 12 of 16 points and firing nine aces to stamp his victory.

Wolf is trying his level best to lift the maiden ATP trophy and appear in the final for the first time this year.  Wolf remained runner-up at the indoor hard-court tournament last year. He has to move heaven and earth to seal the victory as he will take on World No.9 Taylor Fritz.

Taylor Fritz defeated the 2014 US Open finalist Kei Nishikori by 6-4, 6-2. This was his first victory in four combats against Jaapanese Star.   

Two Americans will play against each other for the first time and Fritz wants to add another feather in his cap after Delray Beach’s victory.

He said after the victory against Japanese Star that he is super excited because he is getting better day by day and he will play against his countryman with a lot of positives.

Remember the fact that the Americans who have won the title include John Isner, Andy Roddick, and Mardy Fish.
